Graham's Curried Green Bean Salad
Ingredients:
- 2kg sliced green beans
- 1kg sliced onions
- Salted water
- 750ml brown vinegar
- 500ml (2cups) sugar
- 25ml (2tbsp) curry powder
- 50ml (4Tbsp) corn-flour mixed with a little water
- 10ml (2tsp) salt
Method:
- Boil beans & onions in salted water until just tender – drain
- Meanwhile boil vinegar & sugar in another saucepan, stirring often, until all sugar is dissolved
- Add salt, curry powder, corn-flour to vinegar & sugar, mix well.
- Add sauce to beans & onions & bring to boil again.
- Cool before serving
- Bottle & seal immediately.
